Location: Little Switzerland, NC

Length: Short Term - 1 or 2 weeks (April-October)

Housing: Private cabin provided - fully furbished with kitchen

Kilns: 2 electric kilns, 1 raku kiln and 1 gas kiln

Expenses: Materials - bring your own materials or ship materials directly to Wildacres ahead of time

Funding/Stipend: None

Workspace: Spacious ceramic studio and private live-in cabin as additional workspace

Responsibilities: None

Number of Residents: 3 cabins available at a time

Additional Opportunities:

• Space to allow solitude and inspiration needed to begin or continue work on a project

• A secluded, natural setting provides artist with an opportunity to step away from outside distractions and completely focus on work

• Optional 3 free meals a day in dining room with other residents, guests and staff or may prepare their own meals in their cabin

• Good space for joint applications for collaboration work between two artists

• Occasional community events

• Wide variety of crafts people and media use come through Wildacres

• 9 hiking trails on campus and numerous trails all around the area — connected to the Blue Ridge Parkway
