Kilns: 2 computerized 1227 Skutt kilns that are rated to ^8, 1 1027 Skutt kiln computerized rated to ^10, 1 1018 computerized Skutt kiln rated to ^10, a few small test kilns, 1 34 cu ft soda kiln, 1 34 cu ft gas kiln, 1 car kiln, 1 720 cu ft large anagama wood kiln, 1 wood/soda kiln, 1 raku kiln and 2 wood kilns in the Missoula community
Expenses: Materials and firing — For Woodfire Resident: free wood-firing
Funding/Stipend: Two $2,500 fellowships available for long term residents. Those who don’t receive a fellowship will receive a $1,200 scholarship and additional professional development funding to long term residents
Workspace: 125 square foot semi-private studio space
Responsibilities: 5 hour/week studio maintenance and personal practice and 5 hour/week working for the Clay Studio doing general studio tasks as gallery assistance and assist with production of fundraising events and outreach events — For Woodfire Resident: Expected tasks include teaching classes on wood firing, managing the wood firing community, acting as the contact to our wood suppliers, managing kiln maintenance, implementing safety policies, and supervising community and class firings
Number of Residents: 2-3 long term spots and 1 Woodfire resident
Additional Opportunities: Solo exhibition offered, invited to sell work in their gallery and paid teaching opportunities
