Housing: None

Kilns: 5 electric kilns (one test kiln, one small kiln and three standard size Skutt kilns) and one 14 cubic feet downdraft reduction kiln

Expenses: Materials after stipend

Funding/Stipend: $400/month housing stipend and $120/month material stipend

Workspace: Private studio space 90-140 square feet adjacent to their community teaching spaces

Responsibilities: Paid teaching 15-30 hours/week, based on the desired teaching load of the artist ($18/hour), 2-3 annual community events per year, attend monthly (First Friday) events and the LUX Annual Art Auction, host one open studio shift/week and optional 1-2, 3 hour shifts/week gallery work

Number of Residents: 1 potter and 1 sculptor

Additional Opportunities: Other media residents present, residents teach the majority of the educational programming, paid teaching opportunities, gallery experience opportunities, access to regularly stocked clay and glaze materials, free use of kilns in exchange for studio maintenance duties, representation in the sales gallery for the duration of residency, solo exhibition opportunity, two experimental galleries nearby where residents can curate group exhibitions as well as student and community shows, residents can attend one conference each year of their residency (maximum registration fee LUX will cover is $300 per resident per year and additional funds may be available to cover travel expenses) and 30% off artwork in gallery and 50% off classes and workshops
