Location: Las Vegas, NV

Length: 3 month, 6 month and 1 year

Housing: No long term accommodations; CAV will assist with finding housing

Kilns: 6 electric kilns, 3 updraft kilns, 1 car downdraft kiln, 1 Geil kiln, and 1 newly built soda kiln

Expenses: Materials and firings

Funding/Stipend:

• 20% off all Laguna clay

• Work fired with student pieces at no cost

• $250/week stipend

Workspace: Semi-personal private studio

Responsibilities: 20-25 hours/week contributing to Clay Arts Vegas and duties will vary depending on the studio’s needs

Number of Residents: 1-2 artists at a time

Additional Opportunities:

• Teaching and exhibition opportunities

• Representation in store and gallery (60/40 split artist/gallery)

• Representation at events

• CAV welcomes 4-5 guest artists per year

• CAV is a distributer for Laguna and Mayco so supplies are readily available

• A strong focus on community involvement and the exchanging of knowledge

• Clay Arts Vegas produces dishware for Ester’s Kitchen and several other restaurants around Las Vegas. A ram-press is primarily used. Residents will have the opportunity to assist with this production as part of their weekly assisting hours
