Location: Gatlinburg, TN
Length: Long Term - 11 months - mid June-late May
Housing: Shared housing with private bedroom and bathroom
Kilns: 2 small Paragon and Skutt electric test kilns, 5 medium 9 cubic foot Skutt and Amaco electric kilns, 1 large 35 cubic foot Olympic oval electric kiln, Geil up-draft 18 cubic foot gas kiln, soda kiln, salt kiln, and a train woodfire kiln
Expenses: Materials and firings
Funding/Stipend: Living stipend of $500/month; professional development stipend of $750/year; health and wellness reimbursement fund of $2,000/year
Workspace: 12’ x 18’ private studio with climate control
Responsibilities: Minimum of 10 hours/week work exchange for Arrowmont in a variety of career development areas (ie. gallery installations, events, community partnerships, studios, public relations, marketing), provide instruction for Arrowmont’s celebrated children’s education program and ArtReach
Number of Residents: 1-2 ceramic artists (5 resident artists in total)
