Length: Short Term: 12 weeks — (They especially encourage applications from social practice, performing and performance artist with an interest in issues of national identity, commemorative practices and memory and the history and future of the US)

Funding/Stipend:

• Witt Residents receive an honorarium of $20,000 for up to twelve weeks in residence served over an academic year

• Up to $5,000 funding support for project materials

Workspace: Personal work space

Responsibilities: It is expected that a significant portion of time during the residency will be spent in direct interaction with students. (This includes but is not limited to students working directly with the resident on artistic production, students interviewing resident, students observing resident’s process, resident dialoguing with students and faculty both in and outside of classes, resident providing critiques of student work, resident giving public talks/lectures/workshops, and resident hosting open studio hours)

Number of Residents: 1 artist or a collaborative group may apply

• Facilities cater to a variety of disciplines that includes an exhibition space, library/research resources, ceramic facilities, welding tools, woodworking tools, metalworking tools, printmaking facilities, technical assistance and glasswork facilities

• Residents provide students an alternative learning opportunity to engage with practicing artists/designers who can make use of resources across campus
