Location: East Haddam, CT
Length: Short Term: 4 weeks (May-November)
Housing: A private bedroom in a two-story, fully renovated and airconditioned 1842 farmhouse with shared amenities include a shared bathroom (no more than 2 individuals per bathroom) a communal kitchen, a Common Area for group gatherings, a modest library, and wireless internet.
Kilns: An electric kiln
Expenses: Materials and firing costs
Funding/Stipend: A minimum of five $500 travel grants annually
Workspace: A private studio

Number of Residents: 6-8 artists

The residency is self- directed, “retreat like,” and non-judgmental
Institutional demands on artists’ time are minimal and we take it as our mission to, whenever possible, remove obstacles and distractions that could otherwise prevent the artists from achieving their most ambitious goals for their time with us.
The I-Park residency program is set within a 450-acre nature preserve, with open fields, 25 art/nature walking trails and stone walls, ponds and streams, a diverse natural habitat including teeming wetlands areas, a second-generation forest - and a pristine river runs through it.
I-Park supports artists and designers working in a wide variety of media: music composition, creative writing, moving image, architecture, landscape/garden design, visual arts, and interdisciplinary practice
