Location: Kansas City, MO

Length: 2 Residencies available: Foundation Residency - 1 year with a renewal of 1 additional year upon review (must have recently completed academic degree-undergraduate, post-baccalaureate or graduate) — Visiting Artist Residency - 1-6 months (must have five years of experience as a professional artist)

Housing: None

Kilns: 7 Skutt electric kilns and 1 60 cubic foot Geil natural gas kiln

Expenses: Discounted materials and firings

Funding/Stipend: Foundation Residency: $1,000 materials stipend, a $500 firing stipend and discounted firing rates

Workspace: Foundation Residency: semi-private studio space with personal storage — Visiting Artist Residency: large semi-private studio space

Responsibilities: Foundation Residency: Contribute to the maintenance of the studio during two weekly, 6 hr monitoring shifts that could include tasks such as: assisting with firings and kiln turnover, mixing glazes, general cleaning, moping and organizing of communal tools/equipment, aid and advise studio members with inquiries, help out at First Friday events, give an artist talk and donate a small work to the BCYS collection — Visiting Artist Residency: Donate a piece to the BCYS Collection and community interaction through workshops, artist talks, mentoring and artist critiques
