Length: 2 residency programs:
Early Career Artist Residency - Long Term: 1 year (Two artists to receive the Anonymous Artist Studio Fellowship and one artist to receive the BIPOC Studio Fellowship)
McKnight Residency - Short Tern: 3 months (Supports mid career ceramic artists whose work demonstrates exceptional artistic merit and who have already proven their abilities within the field)(Cannot be a resident of Minnesota or enrolled full-time in an academic program)
Housing: None
Kilns: Gas, soda and electric kilns
Expenses: Material and firing cost outside the given stipend
Funding/Stipend:
Early Career Artist Residency: Receive an annual material and firing stipend
Anonymous Artist Studio Fellowship - awarded to two ceramic artists working in a functional, sculptural, relational or installation based manner
BIPOC Studio Fellowship - awarded to one early career ceramic artist of color of color who is working in a functional, sculptural, relational or installation based manner. Recipient will be provided additional resources to pursue mentorship and research opportunities including the support of more robust materials and firing use, and monthly financial assistance to buttress cost of living.
McKnight Residency: $6,000 stipend to account for expenses and a glaze and firing stipend
Workspace: Semi-private personal 95-210 square foot workspace

Number of Residents: Early Career Artist Residencies: Up to 3 —- McKnight Residency: 1-2 artists at a time
Additional Opportunities:
Early Career Artist Residency:
A group exhibition featuring work produced during the residency period
Present a brief slide lecture on resident’s work in conjunction with the exhibition
McKnight Residency:
Present a public lecture, for which they will receive an additional honorarium
Residents will be featured in a catalogue and group exhibition at NCC that will travel to 3-5 sites around the state of Minnesota and western Wisconsin
