Location: Roswell, NM
Length: Long Term: 1 year
Housing: Artists are housed in a complex of 7 houses (including director’s house) and 10 studios located on 50 acres of land. Each artist is provided with a fully furnished three bedroom house that can accommodate either a single person or a family. Studio is attached. (Families and partners are very welcome)
Kilns: 4 different sized electric kilns
Expenses: Material cost outside the $250/month stipend
Funding/Stipend:
$1,100/month stipend for each resident
Additional materials stipend of $250/month through The Fredrick Hammersley Foundation
Families and couples receive an additional $100/month for partner and/or each child
Workspace: The studios are large and open, personal spaces attached to the residents house. These studios measure approximately 30’ x 25’ x 10’. These areas are well-lighted and convertible to the artist’s requirements. There is a separate ceramic studio open for any residents to utilize.

Additional Opportunities:
Compound has a variety of studios and media; all of which, residents have full access to. (printmaking studio (stone litho/etching), digital media room, woodshop, welding shop and ceramics studio)
Opportunity to mount a solo exhibition at the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art
Option to have an art piece purchased for the permanent collection of the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art
Families and partners are very welcome to accompany accepted residents
