Kilns: 5 electric kilns, 1 Bailey 30C reduction kiln and 1 Bailey 20C Soda kiln
Expenses: Materials and firing at cost
Funding/Stipend: $2,000 yearly materials and fees stipend
Workspace: 80 sq ft studio space
Responsibilities:
*Applicants must be within the first five years of finishing a BFA, MFA or equivalent training program.
Participate in the educational operations of the studio through teaching classes and or workshops
Number of Residents: 1 artist
Additional Opportunities:
Benefit from a creative community of more than 50 artists in the iteration and innovation of their ideas.
Paid instruction of full semester classes as well as the potential for additional workshops for qualified candidates
Public engagement talks, panels, tours, or participatory art opportunities may be offered
Opportunity to participate in the Winter Market Sale and Spring Open Studios event and the accompanying exhibition
The Umbrella will support the position through publicity and marketing for the residency as well as any other educational offerings and exhibitions.
