This is a list of ceramic artist residencies with housing available.

  • Access Arts

    Both live-in with shared living space (furnished 3 bed, 1 bath house with kitchen and living room) and non-live-in residencies available

  • Alchemy Art Center

    Semi-outdoor, individual small, rustic, woodland shelters, connected via narrow dirt paths through the trees with a shared communal bathroom and kitchen space with up to 8 other people. Sleeping cabins are furnished with a twin or full bed, a mosquito net, a lamp, an outlet, and a rack, shelf, or dresser for clothes and other belongings. Cabins are in close proximity to each other, and have more of a community feel. (WiFi is spotty)

  • Anderson Center at Tower View

    Each resident is provided with a room in the beautiful historic Tower View residence. Rooms are equipped with either queen or twin beds, a desk, a dresser, a large closet, and a comfortable chair. Rooms have either private bathrooms, or a bathroom shared with one other resident. Linens and towels are provided, and the house is cleaned and linens changed weekly.

  • Art Farm

    Free accommodation choices in three buildings: one is a furnished, 100+ year old two-story farmhouse with three bedrooms, the second house has six bedrooms, the third is on the second floor of the main barn complex and has three bedrooms

  • Artists' Cooperative Residency & Exhibitions

    Room and board with comfortable sleeping accommodations. Most residents stay in the sprawling Steuben Lodge, which houses around 20 people and contains a large central area that includes an artists’ book library, access to wireless internet, breakfast area, and computers, printers and scanners for use. The lodge contains 12 two-story rooms that sleep two residents at a time, one person on each floor. Each room has its own bathroom and kitchenette and opens onto a porch that can be used for outdoor studio space. A limited number of single occupancy rooms are available. Internet is sometimes slow and unreliable (Couples are welcome, but cannot accommodate children)

  • Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts

  • Caldera Arts Center

    Private cabin with sleeping loft, living room/work area, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, and a porch overlooking Link Creek or with a view of Blue Lake. Wireless internet is available in all cabins. Cabin kitchens have a coffee pot, two-burner stove, microwave, small refrigerator, dishes, and pots and pans. Residents also have access to a full commercial kitchen in the Hearth Building. Cabins are heated by electric heat and most include wood stoves with wood provided. Children are welcome.

  • Center for the Arts Evergreen

    A private cottage conveniently located just a five minute walk from Downtown Evergreen and Evergreen Lake. It is a 1 bedroom/1 bath studio with a full kitchen. Artist will have use of a large flay shared yard and Cub Creek which runs adjacent to the length of the property. The artist cottage has a strict no smoking smoking policy inside. The cottage is a 10 minute drive to the artist studio at CAE, and 25 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheater.

  • Ceramics School

    Ceramics School is located in a storefront connected to a three story row house, the first floor of which is a private fully furnished 650 square foot one-bedroom apartment their our visiting artist residents. Virginia and Henry who own and run Ceramics School live on the second and third floor with their two small friendly dogs and two moderately friendly cats. The residency apartment has a bedroom with a queen sized bed, a bathroom with a walk in shower, a full kitchen, a living room, a drawing/painting/office room and a laundry closet. The apartment is cozy, sweet and full of ceramics. The side yard has a vegetable garden in warm months, a fire pit and a small wood-fired kiln. Resident artists are welcome to bring a partner and/or children.

  • Chautauqua Visual Arts

    6 Week Residency: Hall lodging provided for approximately 300 full-time students and artists enrolled in the art, music, dance, and theater programs. Dorm rooms are mainly all double occupancy, with a few triple occupancies. Students are housed together based on their age, gender and program. — 2 Week Residency: Dorm-style single rooms with shared bathrooms. Dorms and studios are not air conditioned.

    Residents are housed in the Library dorm, an all-gender living space. The Library is a light and airy space tucked on the edge of campus. It was the original schoolhouse here in the Plain Valley dating back to 1912. The downstairs houses classroom space as well as an impressive art and faith library, while the upstairs level features an all-gender dorm-style sleeping loft that can house up to nine guests.

    A private cottage nearby to the studio. Within the residency cottage is a cozy writing nook equipped with a desk, a small library, and a front sitting room with windows overlooking the garden. There is a textile room with a sewing machine and a generous selection of beautiful quilting materials; the entire cottage offers various surface areas to spread out and create.

    A private bedroom in a two-story, fully renovated and airconditioned 1842 farmhouse with shared amenities include a shared bathroom (no more than 2 individuals per bathroom) a communal kitchen, a Common Area for group gatherings, a modest library, and wireless internet.

    A fully furnished guesthouse above studio — 4 private bedrooms (3 sleep three (2 with queen beds and a single bunk, 1 with double bed and single bunk), and 1 sleeps four singles on the floor), one bathroom, large kitchen and dining space. Lots of windows and very comfortable.

These are mostly 3 bedroom structures that are fully furnished and comfortable all four season of the year. Houses all have shared kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas with laundry machines, telephone, and other amenities as well. Wifi is available is all of our buildings through high speed fiberoptic service.

    Artists coming from out of town will be provided accommodations in Butte. Each year, our housing changes based on the needs of incoming residents and changing housing options in Butte. Generally, residents are housed together in a centrally located furnished home or apartment with a private bedroom. Applicants will have the opportunity to share their housing needs in the Artist-in-Residence application.

  • Oregon Coast School of Art

    Studio and living space is combined in one private room which is included in the residency fee. The rooms are 1,000 sq. ft. or 500 sq.ft. and include access to shared bathroom, laundry and kitchen facilities. (partners and families are welcome)

    Two bedrooms in the main house, both located on the second floor. Small Stone is located on the eastern side of the home with a large bay window with glimpses of Lake Superior. Tall Tree, is located on the western side of the home with glimpses of the St. Paul Cathedral and views of the cutest chicken coop. Each Artist has their own private room and closet. There is one full bath with a clawfoot tub/shower combo, sauna on the second floor, and a half bath on the first floor. The bathrooms are shared. Common areas include the front parlor, the landing, main dining room and kitchen, kitchen side porch and main side porch.

  • Rockland Woods

    Private live/work spaces. The Lodge is a remodeled 1973 log cabin by artist-contractor and owner.

  • Roswell Artist in Residence

    Artists are housed in a complex of 7 houses (including director’s house) and 10 studios located on 50 acres of land. Each artist is provided with a fully furnished three bedroom house that can accommodate either a single person or a family. Studio is attached.

    Low-cost housing: The Residency House consists of two apartments. The downstairs apartment is occupied by our Glass Blowing Instructor. The upstairs unit has two bedrooms, one full bathroom, full kitchen, dining room and living room, as well as access to the porch. Each apartment has their own private entrance into the apartment. There is no covered parking for your vehicle, but there is private driveway to the residence. Wifi is included in the rent agreement. This is a fully furnished home; includes furniture, sheets, towels, dishes, etc. There is no private studio space, but the dining room has been used as a work space for most of the artists.

    A fully furnished apartment at the Collegeville Institute near the campus of Saint John’s University. This apartment is apart of a lakeside cluster of 10 apartments and an administrative center.
