Location: Wichita Falls, TX

Length: Long Term: 1 year with possibility to renew for a second year (MFA is required)

Housing: A rent subsidized apartment located on campus in a residence hall with all utilities paid including Wi-Fi

Kilns:

  • 3 large electric kilns

  • 2 smaller electric kilns

  • 2 40 cubic foot Geil car kilns

  • 1 30 cubic foot “fast fire” wood kiln

  • 2 older updraft kilns

  • 1 30 cubic foot downdraft soda kiln

  • 1 3 cubic foot ^10 soda kiln

  • 1 raku kiln

Expenses: *

Funding/Stipend:

  • Reasonable supply of materials and firing privileges

  • $6,000 per year compensation divided throughout the year and paid on hourly rate basis. This is not a stipend. The resident is paid by the hours worked, which are approximately 12 hours/week

Workspace: Studio space in the common 4,000 square foot studio area and a small office with internet access and storage space

  • Optional and possible additional compensation of $2,500 for each Art Foundations or General Education course taught as an adjunct professor (will no exceed 19 hours/week for both teaching and non-teaching duties. Up to one adjunct course per semester may be allowed)
