Location: Tiverton Four Corners, RI
Length: 3 residency programs:
Short Term: Varied (any time of year)
Short Term “Summer Potter-in-Residence”: 3-4 months (June-September) (for functional potters)
Long Term “Fall/Winter Residency”: 3-9 months (September-May)
Housing: None
Kilns: 1 Bailey soda kiln and 3 electric kilns
Expenses: “Summer Potter-in-Residence”: Any materials at cost and firing fees needed after the $100/month stipend
Funding/Stipend: “Summer Potter-in-Residence”: A stipend of $100/month to be applied to kiln fees and materials
Workspace: 24/7 access to shared studio equipment and kilns
Responsibilities:
12 hours/week (2 6-hour shifts) of standard studio maintenance/cleanliness and working in the retail pottery shop
“Summer Potter-in-Residence”: Resident should be capable of and intending to maintain a production level high enough to keep a gallery shelf fully stocked with their own work during summer season
“Fall/Winter Residency”: Resident is expected to spend 15-20 hours/week in their own studios

Time for serious, self-directed, experienced ceramic artists to spend dedicated time developing a body of work in an authentic, working, rural Rhode Island studio predominately occupied by studio potter and owner Charlie Barmonde
