Location: Johnson, VT
Length: Short Term: 2, 3 and 4 week sessions
Housing: Each resident is provided a furnished private room, private or shared bathroom, access to a shared kitchen and communal spaces all in a shared house
Kilns: One 28” x 26” Skutt kiln and one 22” x 17” Evenheat kiln — low-mid fire
Expenses: Full cost: $12,000 for 4 weeks although every resident is able to receive partial or full paying fellowship. Partial fellowship recipients are asked to pay $3,000 for 12 days, $4,250 for 19 days, and $5,500 for 26 days — resident responsible for bringing their own materials; box clay available at cost
Funding/Stipend: 1/3 of all residents receive full fellowships each year. 3 communal meals a day, mon-sat are served, brunch and dinner on Sundays as well as self-service tea and coffee is open 24hrs/day
Workspace: 200-300 sq ft private studio space
Responsibilities:
5 hr/wk assisting the community in one of these areas: kitchen, school arts program, visual arts, grounds, mason house library and writing program
Number of Residents: 1-2
Additional Opportunities:
Program is not strongly dedicated to ceramics, but offers communication and interaction with artists working with different media creating a unique space of exploration.
Other media present (metal, printmaking, woodworking, stone, and digital art)
Access to the visiting artist and visiting writer program
Opportunity to share work through resident presentations and open studios

Critiques scheduled through the program staff
